Job Summary: To participate and be engaged in the classroom and center wide activities. Works cooperatively and shows flexibility with the needs of colleagues, children and families. To be a positive role model and to help provide a nurturing and caring environment for the children.
Minimum Requirements:A high school diploma or equivalent. A minimum of one (1) year of experience related to the care and development of children. Completion of Pediatric First Aid training and CPR. CDA or equivalent; a minimum of twelve college credits in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Elementary Education, or Early Childhood Special Education. Completion of Pediatric First Aid training and CPR and required number of DPW and Keystone STARS training is required. Must be dependable, conscientious and capable of a high level of responsibility. With the ability to handle difficult situations and make sound judgment decisions. Must demonstrate enthusiasm and excitement about teaching Early Care and Education. Will maintain a gossip free environment.
Preferred Qualifications: Pursuing an ongoing Early Childhood Education college course is preferred. Two (2) years of experience related to the care and development of children preferred.
Licensure and Certifications: Criminal History, Child Abuse and FBI clearances as required by DPW licensing is required.
