Seeking an intelligent and motivated individual to participate in a rodent electrophysiology lab studying schizophrenia.

Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist investigators with on-going experiments by examining rodent behavior through various paradigms, performing neuroelectrophysiology protocols under control and drug-administered states.
Rodent colony breeding and maintenance.
Histology: tissue sectioning and staining.
Upkeep of various operational records such as: animal colony database, drug usage logs, Safety-Data-Sheets and chemical inventory.
Performing other related duties necessary for the functioning of the laboratory.

Minimum Qualifications for Grade
Applicant MUST meet these minimum qualifications to be considered an applicant

Two years of college or a completed A.A. program with an emphasis in chemistry, biology or physics or the equivalent in education, training and experience.

Candidate must be meticulous in carrying out research protocols.
Good judgment and the ability to work without continuous supervision are very important as well as familiarity with Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or a related science and at least one year of related experience or equivalent in education, training and experience
