The Information Technology Operations (ITO) NOCC provides primary monitoring, recovery, and documentation of all incidents related to the network infrastructure throughout Schwab and its subsidiaries. This includes monitoring of over 1,200 applications, spread across 5,000 network devices in production and development. In addition, we are responsible for overseeing and in some cases, executing technology changes across these platforms. ITO is a true 24x7x365 organization, in this position you will be joining our weekday overnight shift (Mon- Thurs 10:00pm – 8:30am).
What you’ll do:
In this role, you will work closely with the Level 1 operations staff to understand the current environment and then you will apply Level 2 forward thinking process and automation to help engineer the NOC of the future. You will also be involved with Crisis Management for the Charles Schwab Branch, Service Center, and Data Center locations. This role includes:
Alert Console Monitoring and Escalation
Crisis Management and Recovery
BMC Remedy Change Ticket Execution
BMC Remedy Incident and Problem Ticket Lifecycle Management
Procedural Documentation Creation and Currency
Participate in building a world class Operations Model for Schwab Operations
What you have:
Clear and concise communication – written & verbal
Ability to Multitask in a "High Pressure Environment"
Skilled in troubleshooting network infrastructure issues
Strong understanding of Network Administration for Cisco, F5, Aruba, Bluecoat or load balancing tool
Scripting skills (Powershell, Linux) would be very beneficial
Understanding of Windows and Linux OS
Proficient with Microsoft Outlook
Ability to type 50+ WPM
Experience working Overnight Shift hours
Skilled in Data Analytics (Excel, Tableau, etc)
Passion for improvement

BMC Remedy Experience
Experience with Large Enterprise Environments (15k + servers/5k+ network devices)
