Staff Pharmacist-Per Diem

As a per diem Staff Pharmacist with Comprehensive Pharmacy Services (CPS ) at BridgePoint Continuing Care East Jefferson Hospital, you will fill orders with accuracy; maintain security of pharmacy and controlled substances; enter orders and patient information with accuracy; aid in the training of new staff; update the Director about the daily activities of the pharmacy; and aid the Director in maintaining the pharmacy. This position is scheduled to work a variable 8 hour day shift during the week from 8a-5:30p and every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday) from 8a-Noon, with paid on call immediately following your shift .
About the Facility: BridgePoint Continuing Care Hospital, located within East Jefferson Hospital, consists of high acute and Medical-Surgical/Telemetry beds and provides services to patients who require longer hospital stays. Being collocated inside another hospital, allows patients to easily transition between levels of care without leaving the facility. This hospital is licensed by the State of Louisiana and certified by the Centers of Medicare & Medicaid Services.The pharmacy is open Monday-Friday from 8am-5:30 pm and weekends from 8a-Noon. All staff in the pharmacy are employed by CPS along with management of the pharmacy.
Pharmacy degree (BS or PharmD)
Current LA license in good standing
At least 1 year of recent Pharmacist work experience; in an acute setting preferred
Ability to work independently, set priorities, make critical decisions, and respond to client concerns
Ability to work cooperatively with other members of CPS and hospital and pharmacy staff
Must be able to start working on a Monday (start dates are twice per month)
