This position supports the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) SSD program. The Karsun team is responsible for the development, maintenance, and enhancement (DM&E) and operation of multiple FAA Systems. All employees must be able to pass a Federal Suitability Check for a position of public trust. The FAA SSD program supports the operations of multiple business applications, as well as development of new applications across different technologies. The Karsun software development team is responsible for the software design and implementation of web applications supporting multiple Business Lines within FAA. Successful candidates are modern web development specialists experienced in translating business requirements into software architecture. In addition to strong software development skills, ideal candidates have demonstrated experience in working on an Agile Scrum team.
This role provides information technology services in facilities planning, operations and support; storage systems analysis, design/test, and administration; server system analysis, design/test and administration; database analysis, design/test, administration; website analysis, design/test, and administration; web application analysis, design/test and administration; LAN analysis, design/test and administration; user support planning, operations and administration; and related IT systems functions.
As an Atlassian Administrator you will be responsible for the following:
Creating, managing, and supporting all administrative functions associated with the Atlassian product suite.
Managing and administering add-ons and integrations.
Implementing technical requirements into functioning software, by either creating new functionality or modifying that which already exists.
Assisting QA with internal test execution; this includes documenting results, tracking defects, and trouble-shooting defects and issues that arise out of testing.
Debugging, creating and extending Java code as required to support existing functionality and to enhance existing products
A minimum of 8 years of industry experience.
2+ years of experience as an Atlassian Tool Suite Administrator (some combination of): JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, ServiceDesk, and Crowd.
A working knowledge of Agile (Scrum or Kanban) methodologies.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Experience with the following DevOps tools: Git, Maven, Artifactory, Ansible.
Experience with cloud-based development, such as AWS or Azure.
Experience with NoSQL Postgre, MSSql, MongoDB.
Software programming experience in Java.
SQL Database experience.
Requires a Bachelors Degree in Information systems, business systems, management information systems, IT Management, or other IT degree and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience
Engineering, math, and/or science degrees are acceptable substitute degrees.
