Responsibilities
The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties and works closely with senior HR management regarding day-to-day HR functions. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, affirmative action and Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS)

Coordinate new hire orientation with various departments/speakers and present the HR portion.
Manage the offboarding process to include notification, documentation and coordination of exit interviews
Manage and oversee the HRIS system
Develop and produce various metrics and reports through the HRIS for the senior leadership team/C-suite as needed.
Manage and overseethe internal training and development platform (Lingo’s) and manage the external relationship with the vendor
Develop and conduct trainings on use of the HRIS tool and the Performance Management process.
Manage employee files and ensure the integrity and filing of HR documents through the hard copy system and the digital formats.
Coordinate with the payroll function on a regular basis to ensure HRIS entries and various events are accurately reported and reflected onto the payroll: new hires, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, short and long-term disability, workers’ compensation and unemployment.
Create standardized employment packages for new hires incorporating necessary policies and communications to new staff.
Assist in development, implementation and analyzing of human resource policies during the annual reviews.
Manage the various HR platforms and update the content with the appropriate documentation (Sharepoint, template central, UltiPro…)

Performs benefits administration for all domestic and international programs to include the following:

Ensure the accuracy of all benefits enrollments in the HRIS to provide vendors with accurate eligibility information
Perform quality checks of benefits-related and other employee data in the HRIS
Assist employees regarding benefits claim issues and plan changes and acts as a liaison with the carriers
Prepare and communicate all benefits enrollment materials and determine eligibility
Enroll employees with carriers and process qualifying life status changes
Respond to benefits inquiries from employees on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes and other general inquiries
Process and administer all leave-of-absence requests and disability paperwork: medical, personal, disability and FMLA
Effectively interpret FMLA and ADA implications as they relate to leaves of absences/disabilities
Responds to 403(b) inquiries from employees relating to enrollments, plan changes and contribution amounts. Manage the annual catch-up contribution enrollment
Administer the open enrollment process
Reconcile each insurance carrier’s invoice every month and track terminations and new hires accurately to reflect in the invoices
Ensure all data pertaining to benefits is accurately and timely transmitted to the different carriers

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field with a minimum of 5 years previous work experience in international development or relevant experience, and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Previous work experience in HR (domestic and/or international) is a plus.
Knowledge of laws, regulations and reporting requirements that govern US benefits; working knowledge of domestic/international requirements concerning pay, allowances and taxation
Experience using HRIS systems preferably Ultipro
Strong organizational skills & attention to detail
Ability to work in a time sensitive/deadline driven/stressful environment, taking initiative & prioritizing multiple tasks with minimal supervision
Demonstrated ability to work ethically and maintain confidentiality

Exceptional communication, organizational, interpersonal, customer service, and managerial skills
Strong computer knowledge with the following: Microsoft Word, Excel, general Internet usage, email, and general Windows operating environment.
