Princeton Strategies LLC is a Philadelphia based political consulting firm with clients ranging from federal candidates to clients who are seeking state and municipal office. The firm provides general consulting services to Democratic political candidates, with a heavy emphasis on grassroots organizing and fundraising. The firm operates with the philosophy that progress occurs one victory at a time and that every candidate is capable of achieving victory no matter what the odds may be.
Princeton Strategies is seeking organized, motivated, and dynamic individuals to serve as Graphic Design/Communications fellows in 2020.
Projects include social media graphics, videos, website design, communications, writing, and other graphic design. Applicants with any combination of those skills/interests are encouraged to apply. You do not need to be interested in politics to apply. This internship will be conducted remotely, but will include some possible in-person meetings. Interns will work closely with senior staff members on various client projects and campaign tasks but will be expected to carry out independent projects as well.
This internship program is part-time and paid via a monthly stipend. Length of program is 4 months, ranging from August through November. Admission is on a rolling basis. Interested individuals should send a cover letter, resume, and samples of their work.
This is a great position for individuals interested in politics, government, or public policy looking to gain experience. Interns will be empowered in an environment with potential for professional and personal growth. High-performing interns are also frequently placed with political campaigns over the course of the internship.
Intern duties may include:
- Supporting general campaign operations
- Creating social media graphics
- Designing event fliers and other materials
- Writing and designing emails
- Website design and updates
- Producing videos
The qualifications for this internship are the following:
- Strong organizational skills and work ethic
- Strong writing ability and communication skills
- Ability to work well in groups and independently
- Receptive to critique and flexible with changes to work
- Knowledge of some Adobe Creative Suite products is encouraged (ex. Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google Suite is mandatory
