As a Senior IT Project Manager on Marsh & McLennan’s Global Program Management team, you will lead complex, multi-disciplinary technology infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of broad IT infrastructure knowledge, people and delivery focused leadership experience, and strong communication & stakeholder management skills.
Working within the Business Project Portfolio, you will be required to partner closely with and plan projects with several MMC application development teams in support of the larger business / application project and / or program.
Manage the delivery of multiple large-scale, global infrastructure projects using our proven project management framework.
Co-ordinate with project sponsors, technical teams and key stakeholders to effectively manage requirements, scope, risks and deliverables throughout the project life cycle.
Accurately report and present the status of assigned projects to IT Executive Management.
Drive and manage cross-functional project teams towards successful project delivery.
Effectively deliver projects and programs to agreed schedule, budget, and quality of solution.
Collates and tracks program status information and project artifacts at various stages of a projects lifecycle (finances, resources).
Ensures methodology compliance, auditing and tracking of ongoing projects using the agreed tools at regular intervals to ensure projects are on course and follows the approved methodology.
Analyses data and provides appropriate reports on a weekly/monthly basis to PMO Leadership and stakeholders.
Meets with Portfolio managers/stakeholders and reviews data.
Recommends corrective actions on projects, if required.
Works closely with the Program and Portfolio Managers to review finances.
Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science or related field
Minimum of 10 years of project delivery experience within multiple infrastructure arenas (e.g. Data Center, Server/Storage, Network, Desktop, Messaging, Security)
Project deliveries into public Cloud providers – AWS, Azure, Google, Oracle, etc.
Experience and knowledge in Open Source Stack Mean Stack technologies
Experience in large scale enterprise level project management is a must
Demonstrated ability to manage projects between $1-5M and engage in an operational and business acumen.
Experienced in managing Programs of work.
Must possess a high degree of professional confidence with the presence and communication skills to present effectively to senior management.
Strong stakeholder management and ability to influence change.
Proven experience partnering with development and business teams
Global, cross region project management experience is preferred
Delivery experience within a shared services environment is preferred
Applications based project management experience is an asset
Proficiency and certification in project methodology (e.g. PRINCE2, PMI) is preferred.
