The Senior Subcontract Administrator will work directly with Project Department, Management and Client personnel as well as interface with Operations and the Aptim Legal Team. This position will be responsible for assembling, reviewing, negotiating and administering SubContracts, Contractual Terms and Conditions in accordance with Aptim company policies and specific Business Unit requirements.
Will review Commercial agreements, confidentiality documents, RFQ's, RFP's, teaming agreements, proposals, contracts, change orders, exceptions, and other legally binding documents.
Advise other personnel on the terms and risks of the contractual documents. When risks are identified, will participate in presentations to risk committee members with suggested path forward. Revise and generate contractual documents per Aptim's policies and procedures.
Coordinate review of contractual documents with Legal, Risk Management, Tax, Finance, Health & Safety, Quality Assurance, Business Development, Operations and other departments as necessary.
May support Legal with review and Client negotiation of contractual documents. Obtain certificates on insurance, financial guarantees, project specific regulations and licenses, etc. as required.
Advise and train personnel regarding contract administration, risk avoidance, change order management, cost and pricing and other topics as required.
Review internal set up forms to ensure that a properly reviewed and approved contract is in place and ensure that the information provided on the form is consistent with information in the contract.
Provide support and/or actual project execution in areas of contract review, negotiation, monitoring, closeout, indirect rate adjustments, audits, proposal preparation, etc.
7-10 years of experience reviewing, revising and negotiating contract language for the Oil, Gas and Chemical, Power, EPC, Construction, Maintenance, Turn-Around and Environmental consulting services industries as well as issuing and managing Contracts from the beginning to the end of the process.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, proficient with Microsoft Office, SharePoint products and other applicable software.
Ability to work with various types of personnel and clients.
Works independently with minimal guidance.
