      The primary purpose of this position is to function as the Branch Chief of the Asia Branch responsible for all branch personnel related actions and overall leadership of the development of intelligence products and services predicting the future air & space force structure, capabilities and limitations in the Asia/Pacific region.

      • Develops and implements working policies and procedures; organizes and establishes work priorities and assigns work projects and tasking for the Branch
      • Responsible for supporting directorate production, specifically production requirements (RR) and proposed production response (PPR) issues.
      • Guides branch analyses and conducts continuous reviews of the Branch's products to ensure accuracy of input, appropriateness of methodology, adequacy of content and credibility of results.
      • Plans and oversees all Branch external efforts to ensure they align with Division, Directorate and Center goals.

      • A bachelor?s degree in area studies, international relations, political science, engineering, sciences or other intelligence-related field is highly desired. A master?s degree in similar fields is desired.

      • Strong background in and knowledge of a wide range of concepts, principles, and practices relating to intelligence assessments of foreign air, space and information power is required.

      Qualifications This is a GG-14 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-14 duties for work category are at the "Supervisory/Management" work level is "Senior" and are equivalent to those at the GS-14 level.

      Specialized Experience: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include: Knowledge of a comprehensive range of intelligence research and collection methods, techniques, and practices; and multi-source intelligence systems to capture and report on data in order to develop intelligence capabilities and threat assessments, interpret policy, and commit resources.       KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs ): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:

      1. Knowledge of a comprehensive range of intelligence research and collection methods, techniques, and practices to use multi-source intelligence information systems to capture data in order to make recommendations in developing intelligence capabilities, new hypotheses and theories, and threat assessments.

      2. Knowledge of advanced analytical principles, concepts, and methods to produce detail analyses of complex information/situations attained from multiple sources; and knowledge of analytical techniques employed in developing, evaluating, and interpreting quantitative and qualitative data and ability to use them independently to accomplish routine and complex projects.

      3. Knowledge of the national intelligence community, Joint, DoD Structure, organizations, and mission/functions, inter-relationships and operations.

      4. Skill in conducting unbiased complex research, identifying appropriate available systems/data sources, and producing collection requirement assessments that answer specific tasks to link and leverage agency capabilities in support of consumers, customers, and clients.

      5. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Ability to plan, organize, and directs the functions and staff of a small to medium sized organization.
