Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Dump Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting materials to and from construction sites, ensuring safe and efficient delivery while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. This position requires a strong understanding of truck operation, maintenance, and the ability to navigate various routes effectively.
Responsibilities
- Operate a dump truck in a safe and efficient manner while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Transport materials such as gravel, sand, asphalt, or other construction-related materials to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including load weights and delivery times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and site managers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
- Assist with loading and unloading materials as needed, utilizing equipment such as forklifts when necessary.
- Ensure the cleanliness of the truck both inside and out, performing basic maintenance tasks as required.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Experience driving dump trucks,
- Ability to perform route driving efficiently while adhering to schedules.
- Strong understanding of freight handling and safety protocols related to commercial driving.
- Physical ability to lift heavy loads and perform manual labor as needed on job sites.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
