STATUS: FULL-TIME (RF Status/80 hours)
DAY/SHIFT/HOURS: Dayshift varies
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Ultrasound Technician I works under the supervision of the Director, Diagnostic Imaging. Coordinates schedule and preps for patients. Performs ultrasound procedures and studies according to established protocols. Coordinates exams with other modalities. Transmits images to Radiologist. Performs equipment quality control checks and performs other duties as assigned.

High School Graduate or equivalent. ARRT Board certified in Radiological Technology required.
Graduate of AMA approved school of Sonography.
Diagnostic Medical Sonographer certified with RDMS or ARDMS.
Registries in Abd and OB/GYN within a year after hire.
Meditech experience preferred.
Excellent interpersonal skills/ability to work well with others projecting a positive image for the Hospital.
Excellent communication, organizational and detail skills.
Ability to work independently and prioritize work.
Ability to remain calm and function well in stressful situations.
A good understanding of age-related issues of infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, geriatrics, and their families with regard to their specific physical and mental health needs.
Ability to lift objects heavier than 40 pounds without assistance. Ability to spend majority of time on feet with substantial amount of walking, pushing, pulling, and lifting patients.
