The Quality Assurance/Quality Control Manager (QAQC) is responsible for managing and performing the daily QC responsibilities of specific E2 Optics projects to ensure the project is constructed in accordance with the established minimum standards. The QAQC role includes direct oversight and review of the entire documentation and physical inspection phase of the work flow process and working with other in-house personnel (e.g.: Project Managers, Superintendents, etc.) and external personnel to produce and document a quality product.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Implement the QA/QC management system at site
Coordinate with quality inspections with all the site sub-contractors and vendors
Coordinate with the customer’s representative on all quality matters
Coordinate all receipt inspections
Distribute relevant QA/QC documentation to site subcontractors
Verify that the quality related site activities are in accordance with the applicable codes and standards
Participate in the site internal and external site audits
Coordinate all the quality site inspections through the site QC inspectors
Ensure all quality control documentation is compiled and competed for as-built hand over
Control all nonconformance reports and undertake remedial action
Compete site quality control instructions and action remedial responses
Review the customer’s specification and undertake relevant training to the site QC inspector
Monitor the implementation of the approved site QC Plan
Complete and coordinate the approval of the sites QC technical submittals to the customer
Coordinate with the site construction manager on all quality issues
Coordinate and chair the QA/QC site weekly meetings with the projects subcontractor’s QC personnel
Elaborating inspection and test programs
Ensure the safety is adhered to at site
Assure all technical documents relative to site quality control are current status
Travel: The individual in this role should be able and willing to travel as required by E2.
High school diploma or GED required.
Associate’s Degree in Construction Management or Project Coordination
BICSI certifications (TE350 Technician, RTPM)
Knowledge of Latista
3 to 5 year’s field experience
Data Center structure cabling experience
3 to 5 year’s experience installing and testing fiber
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to supervise and train employees, to include organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments.
Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, etc.)
Ability to understand and effectively explain every aspect of the structured cabling system including pathways, spaces, horizontal cabling, backbone copper, backbone fiber optic, cross- and inter-connections, and testing. This includes understanding applicable codes, standards, and industry-best practices and the ability to differentiate between them and make recommendations.
Knowledge of the PMBOK Guides and Standards
Knowledge of business practices and processes including basic accounting.
Excellent Customer Service skills.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team setting.
Ability to understand and follow standard operating policies and procedure.
Ability to perform duties in a professional manner and appearance.
Effective performance management skills.
Extensive knowledge of safety protocols and procedures.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The standard work environment for this position is an indoors business office and construction environment. Ability to use a computer and/or hand tools while sitting or standing for extended periods of time. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk or hear, use hands, stoop, kneel, bend, rotate, push, pull, reach with hands and arms on intermittent to regular basis daily. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee must regularly carry and climb ladders to 20 feet. The employee may be required to work in tight, confined spaces. The employee must demonstrate regular and on-time attendance. There could be a requirement of occasional travel by conventional means including aircraft, motor vehicle and the like within the region and to other locations as required.
