The primary purpose of this position is to bring a systematic and disciplined approach to the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes. Duties include, but are not limited to: Act as an objective source of independent advice to ensure validity, legality and goal achievement as well as perform and control the full audit cycle including risk management and control management over operations’ effectiveness, financial reliability and compliance with all applicable directives and regulations.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountability:

o Determine internal audit scope and develop annual plans.
o Obtain, analyse and evaluate accounting documentation, previous reports, and data flowcharts.
o Prepare and present reports that reflect audit results and document process.
o Identify loopholes and recommend risk aversion measures and cost savings.
o Maintain open communication with management and Board of Director’s.
o Document processes and prepare audit findings to the Board of Director’s.
o Conduct follow up audits to monitor management’s interventions.
o Engage to continuous knowledge development regarding rules, regulations, best practices, tools, techniques, and performance standards.
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree required in the field of Accounting or Finance. Master’s degree preferred.
A minimum of ten (10) years of experience as a Internal Auditor and preferably Senior Auditor. Requires a high attention to detail and excellent analytical skills to provide sound independent judgement. Must have knowledge of auditing standards and procedures, laws, rules and regulations.
