Job Description
· Organize, manage, and maintain all process-related control hardware/software for assigned area, including identification and replacement of obsolete systems to prevent catastrophic failures.
·Utilize PLC theory and application, advanced electronics, and the ability to configure/program to make computerized control systems operational.
·Recommends changes in circuitry or installation specifications to simplify assembly and maintenance.
·Sets up standard test apparatus or devices test equipment and circuitry to conduct functional and operational tests to evaluate performance and reliability of prototype or production model.
·Analyzes and interprets test data.
·Adjusts, calibrates, aligns, and modifies circuitry and components and records effects on unit performance.
·Writes technical reports and develops charts, graphs, and schematics to describe and illustrate system's operating characteristics, malfunctions, deviations from design specifications, and functional limitations.
·Checks functioning of newly installed equipment to evaluate system performance under actual operating conditions.
Experience
· Associates degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
