We are looking for a part-time Accounting Intern/Accounting Assistant to join our team. Schedule can be flexible and will be approx. 3 days/week (business days only).
Prepare monthly reporting - fixed assets, same store sales, sales analysis, etc.
Assist with maintenance of data in various systems customer and item attributes, transaction entry, others as needed.
Assist with monthly balance sheet account reconciliations, researching and identifying variances as needed.
Maintain fixed assets system recording additions for new capital, recording disposals of assets sold, depreciation and reconciliation.
Review and track select expense accounts for proper accounting treatment.
Assist with other month-end close duties.
Assist with gathering information/documentation as needed for audit.
Other projects and ad hoc reporting as needed.
Experience with Excel, including formulas, sort, filter, tables, formatting.
General accounting knowledge - debits and credits, trial balance, basics of the financial statements.
Ability to work multiple assignments at a time.
Strong oral and written communication.
Dependable with high attention to detail.
