At Amazon Music, big data is fueling the growth of our business. The Music Events Platform team is at the fore-front of this growth with real-time streaming platforms and self-service tools around customer behavioral data. Our team’s mission is to enable Amazon Music teams to use timely, high-quality, and reliable real-time data to capture the customer truth to identify and solve problems at scale. We bridge the gap between Amazon Music applications, customer-facing feature teams, engineers, and analysts by building simple, resilient, multi-tenant, secure, and extensible tools & platforms using the state-of-the-art technologies. We work on some of the hardest challenges in real time streaming, big data processing, and data analytics on technologies like AWS Kinesis, SQS/SNS, Lambda, Cloudwatch, Apache Spark, S3, Spring, and various other internal Amazon tools. We are looking for a highly-motivated engineer to help Music teams in turning Amazon Music’s huge data into an information advantage. We are a team of rockstar and driven engineers. Join us, if you are one!
If you love the challenges that come with real-time streaming, data ingestion, distributed processing, operational monitoring, timely analysis, and enjoy working with other engineers on data-driven business problems, then this role is for you. You are a talented, enthusiastic, and detail-oriented software developer who wants to work on projects that require innovative thinking, deep technical problem solving, building trust, and mentoring other engineers. You value data-driven decision making and understand that the foundation of good decisions is good data. Most importantly, you are an expert in developing high throughput, highly scalable, and fault-tolerant services and have some some experience working with behavioral time series data.
In addition to your experience with software development, you'll need to provide coaching for other developers and write clear, professional documents accessible to both technical staff and business leaders. You are highly-motivated and thrive in an environment where problems are open-ended. You enjoy engaging in passionate discussions with smart people and letting the best ideas rise to the top. You see your mistakes as learning opportunities and continually look for ways to improve yourself, your team, and your products.
