Dori Doors & Security, Inc. is a New York City based, full-service door company specializing in luxury residential, commercial and hospitality projects in Manhattan and surrounding areas. We are looking to hire a full-time highly skilled and experienced Assistant Project Manager for our NYC Team.
This person should be willing to commute five days a week to work in our office, based in Manhattan.
The Assistant Project Manager position is responsible for supporting the project management team in the execution of door installation projects from start to finish organizing project tasks and identifying resources and information to make the project successful. Your primary duties include maintaining budgets/projects and work schedules, organizing and participating in shareholder meetings and ensuring all deadlines are met.
The ideal candidate must have strong analytical and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Project Managers on multiple doors projects simultaneously, ensuring each project adheres to schedule and budget constraints.
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with vendors, clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle.
- Maintain project schedules.
- Coordinate and schedule regular site visits for Project Managers.
- Coordinate schedules for team of professionals, including subcontractors, engineers, and laborers.
- Manage Projects Calendar.
- Track project costs, including labor, materials, and equipment.
- Prepare and present regular project status reports to stakeholders, highlighting achievements, risks, and mitigation strategies.
- Utilize project management software, to track project progress and to manage project documentation.
- Prepare agendas for projects meetings.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Assistant Project Manager in the construction or manufacturing industry, specifically with door installations preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building strong relationships with vendors, clients and team members.
- Proficiency in project management software tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of construction processes, materials, and techniques relevant to door installations.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to direct and manage a team of construction professionals.
- Ability to read, understand and interpret drawings and specifications.
- PMP certification or equivalent is a plus.
- Experience with construction estimating and budgeting processes is a plus.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is a plus.
Additional Information:
The annual compensation for this role is $65,000 to $73,000 per year based on experience.
