General Summary:
As the Content Creator with GovDeals, you will create, optimize, and distribute various forms of print and digital content. Your work will support our growing revenue field team and tailored marketing efforts. Your main duties will focus on prospect and seller conversions and upselling. Your ability to strategically develop and manage various forms of print and digital content will elevate GovDeals' online presence, engage our audience, and strengthen relationships with buyers, sellers, and external influencers, driving meaningful results that enhance brand equity. You are an out-of-the-box thinker capable of bringing fresh perspectives and a passionate storyteller able to align messaging with our brand voice. Responsibilities:
- Develop engaging content across various formats, including written articles, request for proposals or bids, blog posts, case studies, videos, social media posts, email marketing campaigns, flyers, infographics, and other sales collateral as required

Assist in monitoring active marketing programs and developing ways to improve those campaigns

Collaborate across teams to determine and solve campaign objectives

Research industry-related topics to create informative and appealing content for a variety of specific audiences

Organize writing schedules to complete drafts of content or finished projects within deadlines

Prepare well-structured drafts using digital publishing platforms

Edit and proofread written pieces before publication

Utilize industry best practices and familiarity with our mission, values, and messaging to inspire ideas and maintain a consistent brand voice across all content

Encourage collaboration to unify marketing output

Qualifications:
Education/ Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, English, or a related field, or a combination of equivalent professional experience and education

Proven experience as a content creator, writer, or similar role

In-depth knowledge of Microsoft 365

Typing speed of 60+ words per minute
-
Familiarity with HubSpot, WordPress, or similar CRM and CMS tools is an asset
-
Experience selling to government agencies or working knowledge of the government segment is beneficial
-
Oratium, Challenger Sales, or other sales training is a bonus
