Family Medicine Physician Faculty
We invite you to join the multidisciplinary faculty of the Department of Family and
Preventive Medicine in the School of Medicine, University of Utah. The University of Utah is the premier academic medical center in the Intermountain West, nationally recognized for our clinical quality, educational excellence, and research.
We are seeking clinical faculty for our expanding clinical and educational programs in the Division of Family Medicine. You will be joining a strong family medicine faculty group and have opportunities for teaching family medicine residents, medical students, and other health science trainees.
1. Board certification by The American Board of Family Medicine
2. Unrestricted Utah State medical license
3. Experience in clinical medicine is preferred, including inpatient, outpatient and OB experience.
4. Experience in education and scholarship is preferred.
- 0.9 FTE – Clinical care and resident precepting
- 0.1 FTE – Education and scholarship
o Education and scholarship activities
o Scholarly projects
o Teaching in didactic and small group formats
o Mentorship and evaluation of residents
o Opportunity to develop research experience and funding
Obstetrics practice is encouraged with this position. Clinical resources include:
- In-house back up from the University of Utah Department of OB-GYN
- Manageable call schedules
- Favorable malpractice environment
