Seeking Sr. Director, Head of Americas Molecular Diagnostics Business Manager to contribute as a key member of Siemens Healthineers Molecular Diagnostics R&D Business located in Berkeley, CA. Must be comfortable in a fast paced start-up environment. Position reports to the Global Head of Sales & Service MDX supporting the regional sales team, customer needs, and 3rd party product sales & application reps and headquarter needs.
Responsible for the Sales and Marketing of Siemens Healthineers MDX product portfolio including hardware, software and reagents to increase and maintain market share. Fuel the growth, work with and educate customers and Siemens Healthineers sales force driving sales growth and ensuring highest level of support. This includes analyzing and implementing educational outreach plans to increase penetration of being seen as the regional expert in the field of Molecular Diagnostics.
Renewal of current customer base, securing competitive conversions and assigned strategic accounts.
Lead, manage and set strategic objectives of the Americas sales force.
Manage assigned regional strategic accounts to include contracting, customer relationships and understand business needs to develop solutions.
Apply complex sale strategies with business partners and direct sales force to increase 3rd party product utilization, or product bundling, to achieve market conversions and new product launch/adoption.
Achieve assigned sales quota by working with "C" level, lab techs and technical personnel, purchasing, GPO's and decision makers to maintain and convert market share.
Review market analysis and customers' referral base to create educational outreach plans implement with customers to increasing sales of Molecular Diagnostics products in the Americas Support our 3rd party partners to launch and grow new MDX applications within the market.
Co-coordination and ownership of Technical Support as well as Field Service Engineer support.
Understand, demonstrate and implement the company value and products.
Establish working relationship with operations to ensure customer satisfaction in a profitable business environment.
Provide customer business reviews to identify clinical opportunities, create an educational outreach plan and implement with customers.
Understand and stay current in the field as a resource to customers
Be the "expert" for Molecular Diagnostics for clinical utilization, reimbursement and market trends
Create and present product specific presentations to Lab Techs, Managers, referring physicians and technologists.
Work with customers in the market creating a high level of customer satisfaction leading the sales team.
Act as lead advisor to top management and business partners on advanced technical matters.
Represent the company as the primary external contact.
Develop team members through mentoring and coaching in complex subjects.
Provide critical technical guidance to associates and upper management.
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
BS/BA in related discipline, or advanced degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
10+ years of successful experience in related field and successful demonstration of key responsibilities and knowledge as presented above.
Significant experience in the Molecular Diagnostic Industry
Experience in Lab space (Oncology, NGS, Syndromic testing)
Experience working within a leadership role in a commercial organizations, including distributor management experience in Latin America.
Experience developing and providing clinical educational training presentations.
Bilingual in Spanish and English
Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
Bachelor Degree in Molecular Biology or Genetics background. MBA preferred
Knowledge of payer reimbursement
Capacity to work in Spanish at a professional working capacity - fluency in Brazilian Portuguese preferred.
