Samuels and Son Seafood, the nation’s leading purveyor of fresh and frozen seafood has a unique and exciting opportunity for a sales assistant. This position is designed to provide support to a sales department exclusively. Additional responsibilities may include coordinating the submission of proposals, planning meetings, tracking sales progress, troubleshooting minor technical problems, maintaining department database records, and serving as a liaison between traveling sales representative and staff based in the home office. Hours of work can be between the hours of 6am- 5pm with limited overtime.
Summary of essential job functions:
Functions include, but not limited to the following:
Answers questions concerning any products customers may be interested in.
Enters orders on billing and order system.
Invoices orders once they have shipped.
Conducts outbound calls for customer orders.
Able to talk to customers comfortably and main excellent customer service
Receives and writes orders as they come over through voicemail and email.
Fields multitude of calls, both incoming and outgoing calls while taking orders over the phone from accounts.
Uses Microsoft office to produce price sheets and call sheets.
Occasionally works in warehouse assisting truck loading and checking products for quality.
High School diploma or GED required
Must have working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word and Power Point)
Must have customer service experience
Must be able to adapt and work in a fast paced environment
