AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Surveyor for immediate employment for the Southfield, MI office. AECOM is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:
+ Perform topographical surveys, inspections, and generate as-built drawings
+ Research existing property records information, including record maps, plans, deeds, easements, and right-of-way documents
+ Research previous survey evidence, maps, deeds, physical evidence, and others concerned with the project
+ Process field data records, prepare survey project files, and maintain data indexing systems
+ Analyze and balance survey control, geodetic networks and other measurements
+ Work within CAD platforms to prepare ALTA/ACSM Land Title Surveys, property surveys, right of way maps, easement maps, subdivision maps, boundary worksheets, metes and bounds descriptions, and other pertinent survey documents
+ Provide data relevant to size, shape, contour, location, elevations, and dimensions of land or land features
+ Prepare computations for field staking and support of field activities
+ Support field crews with transfers of data and resolution of issues in the field
+ Ensure quality control is maintained throughout projects
+ Reports to survey department manager and attends periodic staff meetings with manager, survey team members and senior department supervisors
+ Perform and document construction inspections based on engineering drawings
+ 0-2 years’ experience as a Land Surveyor in an office role or demonstrated equivalent combination of education, skills, knowledge, abilities and experience
+ Experience with various survey analysis platforms (Carlson Survey, Microsurvey Star
- Net, Trimble Business Center)
+ Experience with various CAD platforms (AutoCAD Civil 3D, Bentley MicroStation / InRoads)
+ Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
+ Willingness to work as part of a team environment
+ Valid Driver’s License
+ Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required
+ As required by client, candidate must pass a drug screen prior to employment
+ High School Diploma
+ Bachelors or Associates degree
+ Minimum 2 - 5 years of professional surveying experience in an office setting
+ Pursuing Professional Land Surveyor’s License
