Google Cloud teams work with schools, companies, and government agencies to make them more productive, mobile and collaborative. You will oversee all aspects of the Google Cloud sales process, improving it with your insightful data analysis, troubleshooting, and seamless cross-functional teamwork. Your strategies ensure that companies new to Google products get the highest quality customer support and that the Google Cloud program overall is kept on the cutting edge.
As a Google Cloud Consultant, you will work directly with Google’s most strategic customers on critical projects to provide management, consulting and technical advisory to customer engagements while working with client executives and key technical leaders to deploy solutions on Google Cloud Platform.
You will team with Google engineers to provide application design guidance, propose and test cloud native APIs, migrate existing applications, and write new applications in platform as a service products. You will collaborate with external customers on new application design and implementation including application scaling, reliability, and ongoing operations such as application and feature rollouts monitoring and more. Additionally, you will work closely with Product Management and Product Engineering to build and constantly drive excellence in our products.
You will work closely with Google's partners servicing customer accounts to manage projects, deliver consulting services, and provide technical guidance and best practice expertise. You are naturally curious, love to gain deep technical understanding of cloud technologies and enjoy liaising with client executives and technical architects alike.

Design solutions to develop the customer’s new environment and guide solutions through launch as the lead solutions architect.
Demonstrate thought leadership in cloud computing and become a trusted advisor to decision makers throughout an engagement. Provide customer and market feedback to the Product and Engineering teams and help shape product direction.
Execute on project management responsibilities inclusive of scoping activities, structuring a team, and delivering in a timeline during consulting engagement. Work with external client technical leads, client executives, and partners to manage and deliver successful migrations to cloud solutions.
Package best practices and lessons learned into thought leadership, methodologies and published assets.
Engage with customers for meetings, technical reviews, and onsite delivery activities (travel expectations up to 30%).
Bachelor's degree in a technical or engineering field or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of relevant experience.
Project management experience interfacing with multiple cross-functional and/or geographically dispersed teams.
Master's degree in Computer Science, related Engineering field, or equivalent work experience showing client service and/or management consulting.
Demonstrated experience architecting, developing, or maintaining production-grade cloud solutions in public clouds such as Google Cloud Platform.
Working knowledge of common open source server side infrastructure such as Docker, Kubernetes, Mesos, MySQL, Cassandra, Hadoop/Spark, NGINX, RabbitMQ, Jenkins, TeamCity, OpenAPI/Swagger etc.
Excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills, with a focus on translating business requirements into technology solutions and vice versa.
