The Music Department is currently recruiting a Temporary Music Events Office Assistant to join their team of professionals.

Job Duties/Responsibilities Include:
Assists the Events Manager with all aspects of daily operations of the Wertheim
Performing Arts Center and attends all assigned School of Music events held at WPAC or other locations to ensure any questions are addressed properly.
Assists in generating ticket reports and other administrative paperwork in the Events Office. Writes-up, amends and follows-up on allrentals at the Wertheim Performing Arts Center.
Assists the Events Manager in overseeing the staffing, opening and closing of the
Box Office for all ticketed events and ensures adequate customer service at all times.
Assists in training and supervising student production assistants in Box Office procedures, ticketing software, and production protocol.
Assists in training all Front of House Management team members on professionalism, etiquette, and safety for all patrons at WPAC.
Assists in coordinating, assigning, and managing all Concert Ushers in the Wertheim Concert Hall and other SOM locations.
Serves as one of the key point people in the management of the Box Office monitoring public ticket sales closely.
Assists the Events Manager with creating the seating charts and arranges guests at designated functions. Assists with the coordination of special events and rentals with external entities.
Assists in supervising volunteers and/or student associate workers. Supervises all on-site issues and flow of the event. Coordinates with
WPAC Marketing staff on all guest relations requests. Assists in the marketing of all events with set-up of distribution tables and brochures as needed.
Assists in managing all the rental cycle of the Wertheim Performing Arts Center for both
External community and internal FIU community.
Provides the general public with timely and accurate responses to FAQ’s during the public ticket sale period. Assists in the writing of the ticket copy. Manages the establishment of ticket holds and online sales for staff, media and sponsors to ensure adequate availability for sponsors and partners. Responds to Box Office ticket inquiries.
Assists in overseeing of all of the operations for all of the events for fluidity and accuracy, assuring timely start.
