PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

The Sr Infrastructure Ops Analyst, CMDB is responsible for: administration and management of configuration management processes and tools and recommending product design changes of the overall ServiceNow CMDB for IT Operations; Ensuring configuration identification by reviewing design documents for completeness and proper authorizations; overseeing the day to day operations of processes of the CMDB, while liaising with process owners for other service transition processes; execution of the process controls, reporting compliance metrics for process and data standards; identifies opportunities and submits proposals for improvement with respect to tools, training, process, procedures and work instructions

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Overseeing the day to day operations of processes of the CMDB - The Senior Infrastructure Operations Analyst is responsible for the execution of the process controls, reporting compliance metrics for process and data standards of the ServiceNow CMDB for IT Operations. Directs, prioritizes and schedules audits; ensures that any corrective action identified in Process and/or Database audits is carried out.
Plans and manages population of the Configuration Management System, including discovery and other data import methods - The Senior Infrastructure Operations Analyst is expected to be familiar with understanding of IT Asset discovery tools and their usage and is responsible for auditing configuration management activities by validating results against the baseline. Reports findings to management team for final review and recommendation of revisions as appropriate
Acts as SME for ServiceNow CMDB Configuration Management Practices - Engages in dialogue with stakeholders to understand the scope and impact of any potential configuration changes to the platform. Develops and maintains investigation documentation to ensure the perspectives of all stakeholders are incorporated. Drives and coordinates stakeholder readiness across all project complexities (associate communications, policy and procedure changes, coordination of job training aids, etc.).
QUALIFICATIONS

Required

2+ years of relevant experience
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong technical aptitude and interest in ITIL practices
Demonstrated mastery of project management skills; Lean Agile discipline
Demonstrated leadership skills; self-directed
Strong ability to identify and resolve problems
Demonstrated ability to develop alternative solutions to complex problems and recommend the best solution to the business and project teams
Strong consultative and influence skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to identify opportunities to improve performance, coach others and design solutions to enhance performance
Effective collaboration skills and ability to build strong relationships while balancing multiple stakeholder needs
Preferred

Four-year college degree
2+ years industry experience
2+ years ServiceNow experience
Prior experience in the Financial Services Industry
