Splunk Security Engineer needed to Support O&M Activities. The senior splunk resource will perform daily security engineer functions to maintain a secure network environment. Resource will perform architecture engineering, operations and maintenance of the CNCS Splunk implementation.

Basic Skills & Qualifications:
2 years of Splunk Admin experience
Exposure to Splunk Enterprise Security
5 years of experience working in the IT industry with an emphasis on engineering design, system analytics, operations and maintenance for a variety of technologies

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
2 years of experience with Splunk Architecture Splunk Operations & Maintenance
Ability to maintain Splunk environment according to best practices and adhering to the Common Information Model (CIM)
Ability to provide enterprise logging and monitoring, respond to alerts, events, incidents and conduct incident/event investigation and analysis as necessary
Ability to provide technical support to operations team fielding request and supporting teams initiatives, including security posture assessments, system hardening, as well as PKI and HSPD-12 implementation

Splunk Certified Architect
Splunk Certified Admin
Splunk Certified Power User
Splunk Certified Knowledge Manager
An active security clearance or the ability to obtain one may be required for this role.
