The Department of Orthopedics has an opening for a full-time, University Staff (unclassified) Section Administrator (Business Services Program Manager) position.

Managers are responsible for the day-to-day operation of functional work units, including the development and implementation of processes consistent with college, school or departmental strategies and processes and the supervision of professional and support staff.
The Section Administrator (SA) for the Trauma, Joint, Sports, and Oncology Sections in the Department of Orthopedics at the University of Colorado School of Medicine is responsible for planning, organizing, and managing the clinical and business activities of the Sections, while ensuring compliance with all internal and external policies and procedures that govern the Section’s efforts. This position will oversees the Section’s fiscal affairs, human resources, and day-to-day operations in support of the Section’s, Department’s and School’s mission and goals.
Candidates will be responsible for travel expenses related to the interview process and any relocation expenses, if applicable.
Salary and Benefits:
The hiring salary for this position is commensurate with skills and experience. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation.

Bachelor’s degree in business, business administration, finance, accounting, education, social sciences, healthcare administration, public administration, communications, information systems, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
The position requires extensive, diverse and progressively responsible experience at the management level, including direct responsibility for the oversight of Section activities including fiscal affairs, human resources, and day-to-day operations.
Professional, progressive responsible personnel and/or financial management experience may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree on a year-for-year basis.
Master’s or higher earned degree from an accredited college or university in Business, Healthcare Administration, or Finance.
One (1) or more years of supervisory experience.
Fiscal management experience, which included:
the development/management of operating and capital budgets; payroll; purchasing; travel; and the review of financial statements, as well as CFTE and RVU productivity.
