Trustpoint.One is seeking a Legal Assistant candidate for our corporate client in Melville, New York. The candidate will assist and provide a range of legal and administrative support to lawyers and other legal department professionals.
This contract-to-hire position is anticipated to start the week of June 4th and it is expected to last at least 3 months. The hourly pay rate will be $22.00 per hour and the work will be conducted at the client’s office in Melville, New York.
The job responsibilities and skills required include the following:
Notarizing and producing high quality legal and professional documents
Preparing, coordinating, and reviewing legal documents as well as maintenance of legal files and records.
Managing documents electronically for archival purposes
Sorting and shipping documents to the appropriate legal firms
NY Notary REQUIRED (must be a notary at the time of starting this position)
Meticulous Attention to detail when dealing with a variety of legal documents
Ability to work independently
Ability to produce high quality legal and professional documents
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Proficiency in MS Word and Excel a plus
Work Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 6:30am – 4:00pm; Friday 6:30am to 10:30am (40 hour work week)
