Position Summary

Leads the development of applications and technology based solutions that streamline, mistake proof and measure the effectiveness of key business processes. Also, leads the development of key business (Customer and Operational Effectiveness Metrics) through an in-depth understanding and liaison with cross-functional managers/members of the Service and Information Technology (IT) organizations. Liaisons with IT to ensure the Service Data Warehouse contains the required fields and data tables to efficiently generate required business reports and metrics. Develop and pilot exploratory reporting to monitor / measure impact of various tactical and strategic initiatives.

Duties

  • Leads the development of applications and technology based solutions that streamline, mistake proof and measure the effectiveness of key business processes. This responsibility requires:
  • Excellent project Management Skills
  • Advanced Access, Macro, Query writing (SQL, etc) skills
  • High business acumen as it relates to business processes and business systems
  • Leads the development of key business (Customer and Operational Effectiveness) Metrics through an in-depth understanding and liaison with cross-functional managers/members of the Service and Information Technology organizations. In addition, will provide management with recommendations based on in-depth analysis.
  • Create and manage Contract Dashboards for business information needs (Best-in-Class) providing management line of sight for $140M contract renewal / $40M Warranty Conversion business.
  • Create and manage Quality Dashboards providing Service Engineering, Service Operations & Marketing / Product management insight into Customer's Service Experience and cost improvement opportunities (Cost opportunities cover 70% of the NA Service Cost of Goods Sold).
  • Create and manage Service Incentive Compensation Metrics / Dashboards
  • Create and manage Key Customer metrics/ Service KPI's
Duties - cont'd

  • Define/Develop & implement temporary processes during pilot phase while working out any bugs before sending to IT to formalize the process within the 360 Dashboard
Lead the Wednesday WAM (Wednesday AM) Meetings, an organized meeting to track progress on open SCR's between Service Personnel and IT.
  • Write queries using SQL query language used by IT to build 360 reports
  • Define data documents outlining Service requirements for IT.
  • Automate substantially all routine reports and schedule through Macro's and other technology solutions to free up more time to develop new tools vs. running reports. Provide reporting needs and data to various STERIS departments/personnel.
  • Provide reporting needs and data to Field Managers
  • Provide support and assistance to other analysts for data needs
  • Assist IT with troubleshooting issues with systems and reports
Education Degree
  • Bachelor's Degree
Required Experience

  • 5-10 years of data analysis experience - process improvement (developing /designing technology based solutions)
  • Strong problem solving skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and business acumen.
  • Advanced Excel, Access and PowerPoint skills. Development tools/functions, Macros
  • Developing Access Applications that streamline, mistake proof and monitor business processes
  • Strong SQL & Query writing skills.
  • Experience in developing business process metrics.
  • Experience in defining data warehouse requirements
  • Project management skills required.
  • Ability to be a self-starter; excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills;
  • Excellent attention to detail; ability to work as a team member, as well as independently; ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment; ability to successfully execute many complex tasks simultaneously.
  • Customer service orientation is mandatory.
Ability to interact with all levels of management.
