The AP Sub Coordinator/AP Assistant will perform daily accounting tasks that will support our Accounts Payable Manager and AP Coordinator. Employees in this position will correct, process and reconcile a wide variety of accounting documents such as invoices, departmental billings and vendor statements. They will also process and review documents for accuracy and maintain records. Ultimately, you will help our Accounting department run smoothly, while ensuring transparency and efficiency in all transactions.
Entering financial transactions into our internal databases and reconciling invoices
Working with spreadsheets, (sales and purchase ledgers and journals)
Scanning and saving invoices in assigned folders
Processing invoices, cutting checks and documenting mailed checks
Taking phone calls and responding to emails
Activating contracts in Dynamics software
Checking paperwork (insurance and certified payrolls) for accuracy
Processing credit applications
Hotel Accommodations for Project Management
Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
Previous Accounting experience (1-2 years)
Experience working for a contractor highly preferred.
Must have knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
Good math skills and the ability to spot numerical errors
Dependable and able to follow instructions
Strong organizational skills
Must be able to multi-task
Excellent communication skills
Ability to abide by all Tomko policies and procedures
This position has no direct supervisory responsibility.
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
Light physical effort, requires handling of average-weight objects up to 15 pounds and some standing and walking.
Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
