What You'll Do
As a Research Analyst on the Thought Leadership team, you'll build executive-focused content and programs based on primary and secondary research.
You will help define content marketing strategy: define primary research direction, convert research findings into insights, and insights into stories.
Write research papers and articles, build customer presentations, and craft executive messaging
You'll use secondary research as well as primary research findings, partner and collaborate with subject matter experts to develop content direction and a Cisco point-of-view.
You will support the development of Cisco’s annual thought leadership themes.
You'll help shape the market research initiatives focused on key business and technology areas. Use secondary research to perform white space analysis for key area.
You will facilitate research-driven workshops and webinars for customers, partners, and sales executives.
You'll collaborate with broader marketing teams, corporate strategy, engineering, and sales to ensure alignment of research initiatives and consistent messaging.

Who You Are
In order to be successful in this position, you ideally would have a strong market research background:
10+ years of experience in developing thought leadership content and insights that are based on primary market research.
10 years of experience in developing research-based thought leadership content.
Proven competencies in utilizing secondary research to develop a content strategy, thought leadership content plans, and white space analysis.
10 years of experience in using primary research data to develop storylines for research projects.
Proven experience in writing long-form research papers, as well as developing executive presentations based on primary research findings.
Ability to work cross-functionally across various organizations (marketing, engineering, sales, strategy, etc.) to drive outcomes.
Being familiar with Cisco’s technology portfolio including infrastructure, datacenter, cloud, security and collaboration.
Shown capacity to develop, refine and spread our message to key influencers.
Skilled in taking a rich, complex message and boiling it down to its essence.
Exceptional writing and communications skills.
Strong interpersonal and project management skills, able to work well under deadlines in a changing environment and perform multiple tasks effectively and concurrently.
A track record of influencing larger teams including matrixed teams for impact and building consensus
