We need an attorney with at least 2 to 4 years of civil litigation experience who is capable of managing a caseload of complex construction cases with some partner supervision. We’re a small firm of 10 attorneys with a reputation for high quality work and a professional, collegial atmosphere. Even if you don’t have a construction law background, you can develop that here as long as you come with a strong work ethic, intellectual curiosity, an analytical mind, excellent writing skills and substantial civil litigation experience (preparation of pleadings, writing motions, conducting depositions, etc.). We practice in NJ and CT so admission in one or both of those states is a plus. We encourage and support our associates in pursuing admission to NJ and CT if they’re not already admitted there. Also, while we’re primarily a litigation firm, we do some transactional work (contract review and negotiations) as well as corporate work (formation of partnerships and other business entities as well as mergers and acquisitions) so there are opportunities for getting involved with that as well. This is an exceptional opportunity for someone with general liability insurance defense or medical malpractice defense experience who wants to take their career to a higher level into complex, commercial litigation along with some exposure to transactional and corporate work. Please be sure to include your salary requirements in your reply. We need to have that in order to know whether we’re on the same page and it shows whether or not you actually read this post.
