ATC will be expanding its operation in Virginia Beach, Virginia and will be adding a staff scientist. Position will be responsible for conducting Phase I environmental site assessments, hazardous material surveys and air quality investigations, reporting, client interaction, project quality control and reporting.
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Practice and maintain a safe working environment.
Conduct Phase I environmental Site Assessments, including site reconnaissance, government listing reviews, aerial photograph reviews, regulatory agency interaction, and report preparation and writing.
Conduct industrial hygiene related services (asbestos, lead, mold and indoor air quality)
Perform environmental sampling.
Updating incoming laboratory data onto various tables, QA/QC tables and figures.
Assist project managers with report preparation
Abide by ATC's health and safety policies and procedures.
BS in Geology, Engineer, Environmental Science or related field.
Minimum of two years’ consulting experience
Preferred 40-Hour Hazwoper
Microsoft PC applications; WORD, EXCEL, PowerPoint
Advanced computer skills
Valid driver's license.
VA DPOR Building Inspector and monitor licenses in Virginia a plus
Good verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently
Multitask and attention to detail
Effective communication skills
Willingness to travel, some overnight
