We‘re a small women’s clothing and home decor Boutique looking for an in-shop Sales Associate and Social Media specialist who can provide excellent customer service & sales skills in a positive, team-oriented environment. Social media photography/posting, strategy, scheduling/planning and outreach for growth of our target audience is a crucial part of this job. Development, promotion, and maintenance of our website and fulfillment of online orders are other responsibilities. Marketing and helping at events, posting our blog, and creation of graphics are also important parts of this job. Since we’re a small boutique, helping the Manager with other shop duties is required. Candidates with strong communication skills who can make customers feel welcome in our shop will stand out.A positive attitude, ability to work in a team, and a desire to create a special experience for our customers will make you successful in this role. Personal styling experience would be a plus! Ultimately you will ensure that our social media channels and website purchases are consistently growing, and you will contribute to the store’s profitability also as a sales associate. Boutique hours are tuesday thru saturday, with sundays seasonally. This position is part time approximately 15-20 hours a week. Participation at onsite and off-site events that may be outside of regular hours is required. Please note: THIS IS NOT A REMOTE POSITION.
Responsibilities
- Greet and direct customers
- Accurate information intake (e.g. product features, pricing and after-sales services)
- Answer customers’ questions about specific products/services
- Cross-sell & reference products and services
- Ensure racks are fully stocked, inventory duties
- Manage returns of merchandise
- Coordinate with the Manager and team to provide excellent customer service (especially during peak times) and assist with anything needed in the shop
- Inform customers about discounts and special offers
- Provide customer feedback to upper management
- Stay up-to-date with new products/services
- Social media photography, content creation, and outreach to our customer base
- Email marketing
- website promotion, SEO, maintenance
- Fulfillment of website orders
- Maintain shop cleanliness
- Maintain compliance of all current COVID-19 requirements as determined by Management
