Are you someone who is creative, enjoys working with kids, and wants to make a difference in the lives of those with autism? If so, Balance Autism wants you! We are looking for individuals to help us bring ABA services to children with autism in our Clive, Iowa location.
This position will:
Provide intensive, one-on-one services to children with autism in our Autism Early Intervention Center.
Use Applied Behavior Analysis techniques to teach skills that focus on supporting children with autism as they gain higher levels of independence, including skills related to: hygiene, personal care, building social relationships and networks, communication, vocational, and community involvement as needed.
Assist in developing treatment plans, making materials and coordinating services as identified by the interdisciplinary team.
Assist with developing, and monitoring all personalized programs, autism specific strategies and innovative solutions in order to generate successful outcomes.
Works directly with each person served as assigned, demonstrating competencies in Discrete Trial Training and other Applied Behavior Analysis strategies.
Responsible for collecting, tracking, and turning in documentation in a timely manner, following departmental procedures.
Qualified candidates will have:
A Bachelor's degree
Previous experience working with children or individuals with disabilities is preferred but not required
A valid driver's license and vehicle insurance
Full Time Hours:
Monday: 8:40am-7:00pm (hours vary)
Tuesday: 8:40am-7:00pm (hours vary)
Wednesday: 8:40am-7:00pm (hours vary)
Thursday: 8:40am-7:00pm (hours vary)
Friday: 8:40am-7:00pm (hours vary)
Autism specific training will be provided.
