InterVarsity Christian Fellowship/USA is a vibrant campus ministry that establishes and advances witnessing communities of students and faculty on college and universities across the United States. This position will work in InterVarsity's National Service Center in Madison, WI.

To advance the purpose of InterVarsity, this position will serve as an internal consultant and strategic partner to Staff Directors and Staff, providing value added HR services that help create a thriving organization of thriving people and accelerate ministry on campus.

Human Resources (HR) Generalist Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in HR required; HR certification is preferred
  • Minimum of 4 years of related experience
  • Working knowledge of multiple HR disciplines including employee relations, compensation, HCM, recruitment, diversity, performance management, benefits, etc.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing and managing successful HR programs
  • Working knowledge of applicable federal and state employment law requirements

Human Resources (HR) Generalist Job Duties:

  • Be a maturing disciple of Jesus Christ: growing in love for God, God's Word, God's people of every ethnicity and culture, and God's purposes in the world
  • Act as an internal consultant by proactively identifying and analyzing HR related ministry needs and recommending solutions for implementation
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state employment related legal requirements and InterVarsity policies and procedures; assist in mitigating legal risks, and partner with the Legal department as necessary
  • Participate in the development and implementation of strategic plan objectives and HR department strategies, goals, technologies, policies, and procedures
  • Provide back up support for Human Resources functions as necessary
  • Raise an agreed-upon amount of financial support

Human Resources (HR) Generalist Work Hours: Full-Time, 40 hours per week
