We are searching for a highly motivated and impactful general manager to assume full P&L responsibility with a focus on top line sales growth and efficient operational management in all business segments; including service, new equipment (construction), and modernization. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate their leadership ability and business acumen while ensuring a high level of customer retention and satisfaction.
Assure that a safety culture is present and part of every associate’s everyday work routine.
Direct responsibility for the service/new equipment (construction)/modernization business, including sales, field operations, customer satisfaction and overall general business management.
The successful candidate will be instrumental in aggressively growing the profitability of this branch operation to meet or exceed business objectives along with fostering a cohesive and high functioning team throughout all levels of the organization.
Meet or exceed all financial performance targets including profit and working capital.
3+ years of elevator or similar commercial/residential building experience required; general management and P&L experience preferred.
Previous experience working in and managing employees performing high risk work; prefer candidates with strong working knowledge of safety programs and OSHA rules and regulations.
Demonstrated experience managing a dispersed workforce – including sales and operations.
Demonstrate leadership skills, effective team building, strong communication and presentations skills to effectively develop relationships with internal customers (Otis regional management team as well as employees) and external customers.
Previous experience managing and driving change.
Assertive, goal-oriented individual who is a team player.
Must have demonstrated good business decision-making in previous positions.
Strong sales, financial acumen and computer skills.
Prior demonstrable experience achieving sales and operational goals, developing new customers to boost revenue and creating and maintaining strong relationships to retain current customer base.
BA/BS degree required
