Purpose of Position:
Provide clinical eye care services to the people of the Bering Straits Region in accordance with NSHC’s mission, philosophy, policies, and procedures while applying standards of the eye care profession.
Uphold the organization’s vision, mission, and corporate values. Demonstrate understanding of and compliance with organization’s policies, procedures, code of conduct and work rules.
Essential Functions:
· Examine patient's eyes to detect vision problems, diseases, and other abnormal conditions
· Prescribe eyeglasses and contact lenses, and may prescribe drugs to treat eye disorders
· Engage in patient education regarding the care and treatment of eye conditions
· Perform other duties as assigned
