Must be at least 15 years of age.
Job Summary: Oversee the daily operation of a lifeguard position. Safety is always the primary concern of any operations employee.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Continuously strive for quality service, guest satisfaction and safety.
Adhere to all operating procedures as outlined in the waterpark standard operating procedures for the positions they are staffing. This includes, but is not limited to: completing morning safety checklist, operating attraction, cleaning area, immediately addressing any waterpark attraction maintenance concerns and/or stopping operation (if necessary).
Maintain an environment that keeps safety the number one concern for all guests and employees.
Enforce park policy in a manner conducive to being an advocate for the guest, while still adhering to park rules and regulations.
Perform other duties appropriate to the area of responsibility as deemed necessary by the Operations Supervisory staff and Management.
Continuously maintain 10/20-protection rule over the guests in their respective area while on the lifeguard stand.
Respond to any situations that compromise the safety of the guests in their respective area while on the stand.
Know and follow proper procedures for using life saving equipment.
Know and have current certification as a lifeguard in the areas of basic first aid, CPR and AED use, as set forth by the training of Ellis and Associates.
Attend a minimum of four hours of in-service per month as set forth by Ellis and Associates.
Adhere to terms of Ells and Associates National Pool Waterpark Lifeguard Training Program licensure.
