The Associate System Administrator will join a highly motivated team that supports all aspects of the organizations internal IT services. This team ensures the availability of client/server applications, provides day to day support for all employees and on-boarding for new employees. Shift is Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:30pm. This position is composed of these specific tasks and requirements:
Receive and prioritize incoming help desk customer support requests in corporate ticketing system.
Interface with customers and other functional groups as necessary for resolution and escalate issues accordingly.
Installation, Configuration, and Support of client hardware/software systems/tools/applications.
End user technical onboarding / orientation and training.
Deploying client workstations using corporate imaging tool.
Deploying client patches/software using SCCM/Software Management Utilities.
Coordinate escalations with appropriate vendors.
Create and maintain user training documentation and knowledge base articles.
Update and maintain CMDB and asset tagging.
Perform audits of corporate assets, policies, and procedures.
Manage and maintain corporate file sharing infrastructure, including backup/recovery process.
Perform Hardware/Software assessment to support our internal projects as well as our customers’ needs.
Manage enterprise Active Directory / Exchange Online infrastructure for employee permissions and on/off boarding.
Cross train with other Sys Admin team members on existing and new technologies.
Perform server and client system patching and maintenance activities.
Manage customer mobile devices and remote connectivity solutions.
Provide after-hours support for Infrastructure related emergencies as well occasional weekend maintenance.
Carry out special tasks at Management's direction.
Interact with customers and staff at the technical level, as required.
Must have regular and reliable in office attendance.
Other duties as assigned.
Specific knowledge of Microsoft Client Operating Systems (Windows 7 and Windows 10) and experience on Microsoft Windows Server 2008/2012/2016 required, as well as working knowledge of MS Bit Locker and MS Office suite and other business applications.
Basic knowledge of Network components and topologies.
Familiarity with Multi Factor Authentication environments.
Experience with Virtual Server and Desktop Technologies.
Experience with client and server AntiVirus software applications.
Experience with Cisco AnyConnect/WebEx/Jabber/Video Conferencing applications.
Experience with multiple client OS’s to include MS, Apple and Linux.
General Knowledge of VoIP and Video over IP.
Strong communication and documentation skills.
Flexible and able to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
Must be organized and have the ability to manage projects of varying length.
Positive, self-motivated individual who can complete tasks independently.
Must be a team player.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS or a related discipline or equivalent work experience.
2 - 5 years’ work experience in a technical analytical position responsible for administering server environments.
MCSA or MTA preferred.
Network+, A+ or Security+ required.
