Our Kansas City, MO office is currently seeking a full-time Structural Engineer. The ideal candidate will have experience in structural design projects and performing complex structural planning, analysis and design for all structural aspects of transportation projects. We are looking for someone with great communication skills who enjoys being part of a team performing office and field work.

Regular job duties include design and detailing concrete and steel girder bridges, retaining walls, cast-in-place concrete structures, and structural field inspection. Candidate must be able to perform complex engineering tasks accurately, extract engineering information from CAD drawings, complete a variety of assignments such as developing drawings, specifications, and other materials suitable for procurement and construction purposes. Design experience with railroads agencies preferred. The candidate must have a professional, yet personable demeanor. Required Skills

To be considered, the candidate must have working knowledge and skills in the following software:

Working knowledge and skills in AutoCAD, MicroStation, Microsoft Office software, and a variety of structural engineering analysis and design software

Required Experience

  • Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering
  • Master’s degree in Structural Engineering is preferred
  • 0-4 years’ experience in structural design
  • Passed the NCEES Fundamentals of Engineering Exam
