I. Job Summary

Seeking a high energy Human Resource Manager who must be a strong manager in HR, and must excel at building and maintaining relationships that foster trust, commitment, and teamwork to a multi-business unit client group. Performs highly complex Human Resources related duties at the professional level and carries out responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas: employee relations, training, compliance, benefits and compensation administration. Administers HR policies and procedures. Collects and analyzes HR data and makes recommendations to Management.

II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.

Supports business in navigating employee relations by investigating helpline complaints, conflicts, or other concerns, exit interviews, and coaching.
Plans, directs, and supervises the work activities of HR Generalist’s/Coordinator’s.
Partners with Talent Acquisition to qualify and approve transfers, promotions, and offers.
Onboarding – manages calendar and monitors quality of new hire orientation; manager assimilation.
Advising and assists with policy and procedure application, updates, and compliance.
Develops, presents, and partners with resources to deliver training or to develop skills and capabilities as determined through gap assessments (i.e. systems, soft skills, action plans encompassing WMU options, or other job requirements).
Builds trust and credibility with others by following through on commitments and identifying suitable actions to sustain a high performing organization.
Compliance with all laws.
Develops and analyzes metrics.
Progressively engages and partners with leadership on more complex business matters by diagnosing trends, benchmarking, leveraging resources, skip-level meetings.
Partners with peers locally and abroad to grow the brands positive image in the community by supporting engagement activities.

III. Supervisory Responsibilities
Direct supervision of 3 full-time employees
Indirect supervision of 2-3 full-time employees

IV. Qualifications
The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job.

A. Education and Experience
Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or similar area of study. This position requires five or more years previous experience in an HR role covering one or more of the following: employee relations, benefits or compensation. Four years of previous and related experience may substitute for the Bachelor’s Degree.

Preferred: All of the above plus a Master’s Degree and 10 or more years previous experience Human Resources, 8 or more years as a manager with multiple direct reports and experience supporting a 500+ seat call-center/office/retail environment

B. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements
Preferred: SPHR certification

C. Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required
Required: Proven Leadership abilities, excellent communicator, demonstrated skill in developing direct reports, strong consultative skills, problem solver, tenacity, and collaborative.

Preferred: Call Center or retail experience
