The IV&V Project Manager will be responsible for delegating and managing the activities of the IV&V team, to provide IV&V services required by the contract. He/she will actively participate in the development and delivery of IV&V services and associated deliverables.

Additional responsibilities include:
Facilitate regular IV&V meetings with the customer
Obtain customer agreement regarding IV&V scope, deliverable content, and deliverable schedule
Perform IV&V services according to the agreed upon scope, content, and schedule
Maintain control over the assignments, schedule, and performance of the project team members
Manage and report on project issues
Assess project risk and evaluate the effectiveness of mitigation strategies applied
Prepare and deliver IV&V written assessments/reports to customer
Prepare and deliver internal Cognosante monthly project reviews
Prepare and present IV&V assessments at steering committee and other meetings on a regular basis
Ensure Cognosante IV&V methodology is applied and IV&V services yield value for the customer
Employee is expected to undertake any additional duties as they are assigned by their Manager.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree
Minimum 6 years of experience
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
Minimum 5 years of experience managing project teams of 3 or more staff
Minimum 3 years of experience performing or managing IV&V services for large system implementation, integration and development
Understanding of Systems Development Life Cycle (Waterfall or Agile development)
Experience designing, developing, and implementing MMIS and/or Eligibility solutions
Additional Qualifications

Master’s degree in related field desirable
Strong leadership aptitude to foster a positive work environment that considers the dynamics of physical, social, psychological, and environmental factors
Strong interpersonal skills to build client rapport and develop/discipline/reward employees
