Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems designs, builds and delivers space, defense and aviation-related systems to customers around the world. Our main products include launch vehicles and related propulsion systems; missile products, subsystems and defense electronics; precision weapons, armament systems and ammunition; satellites and associated space components and services; and advanced aerospace structures.
Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems is currently seeking an Executive Assistant to support the VP of Mission Assurance at our Dulles, VA offices.

Job Description:
Performs normal office functions such as setting up and maintaining files; interviewing callers and making proper referrals; arranging meeting and conferences; receiving, referring or answering mail
Reviews drafts and finished documents for appropriate grammatical usage; answers questions relating to office operations and established policies and procedures
Gathers, compiles and reports on information relevant to supervisor's assignment
Additional duties will include support of department development of executive level briefings and management of small projects
Exposure to sensitive information necessitating use of tact, diplomacy, discretion and judgement
Communicates with executive, administrative and the management personnel to gather or convey relevant information
Responsible for maintaining VP's calendar, coordinating critical management meetings, travel arrangements, expense reports and all forms of correspondence
Partnering with other administrative assistants and server providers
Use of various software packages such as Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc. to produce high quality reports, presentations and other documents

Basic Qualifications:
High school or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years additional education and/or experience supporting senior executives
Candidate must be a team player and possess good interpersonal skills
Requires organizational skills, working independently with minimum supervision

Preferred Qualifications:
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Sharepoint web page development and management
Experience with managing calendars, travel arranging and expense reporting
Proven background of working independently, time management, multi-tasking, customer service and producing high quality delivarables
Knowledge of Northrop Grumman policies and procedures
