The HR Administrative Support Specialist is responsible for supporting the successful management of day-to-day HR practices and administration. Additionally, this role will work in conjuntion with Quality Assurance, Office Management, Administration, and Security. This role is customer service oriented, and provides assistance and process coaching to managers and employees. Responsibilities include working closely with the HR Manager, leadership, and employees to improve work relationships and ensure day-to-day HR functions are successful and processes effective.

The HR Administrative Support Specialist is responsible for the administration, coordination, and maintenance of the following areas:

Assists with documenting of various human resources plans and procedures for all company personnel.
Assists with Employee Personnel File maintenance, including auditing of new and current employee records.
Assists with maintaining corporate Safety Program, including Worker’s Compensation.
Assists in organizational training and development efforts.
Assists in company-wide administration initiatives.
Maintains employee directory.
Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

Additionally the HR Administrative Support Specialist is responsible for assisting with and maintaining the affirmative action program (AAP), filing annual required reports (EEO, AAP, VETS, OSHA), reports and logs to conform to EEO regulations, assists HR Manager with process and policy reviews, keeps the HR Manager informed of project status, completed assignments and any HR issues, provides HR guidance to managers when appropriate, maintains of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.

The HR Administrative Support Specialist will also be responsible for assisting and maintaining security files, self-inspection information, and security trainings.

Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree (in HR preferred or in related field).
1-2 years’ experience in human resources or related field.
Knowledge of federal and state employment law and practices.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
High-energy, ambitious, self-motivated
Ability to interface with all levels of the organization.
Ability to interface with Payroll and Benefits providers.
Ability to verbally communicate with others in order to coach and lead.
Excellent written communication skills required.
Strong interpersonal and analytical skills required.
Proficient in MS Office.
Ability to accept feedback and adapt to changing situations.
