**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant to join our team in a busy hospital setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and experience working in a variety of clinical environments, including dermatology and geriatrics. This position requires a team-oriented individual who is able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and provide exceptional patient care. **Duties:** - Assist physicians and other healthcare professionals with patient care and procedures. - Prepare patients for examinations and procedures. - Conduct preliminary patient evaluations, including taking vital signs and documenting medical history. - Administer injections and vaccinations. - Perform routine lab tests and prepare samples for analysis. - Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records. - Collaborate with medical staff to develop treatment plans and implement patient care protocols. - Provide patient education and support. - Work in a Level II Trauma Center and assist in emergency situations. - Maintain a clean and organized clinic environment. - Utilize electronic medical records (EMRs) and other hospital systems. - Support the OR with patient preparation and recovery. **Experience:** - Prior experience as a Certified Medical Assistant in a hospital or clinic setting. - Familiarity with PICU and OR procedures. - Experience working in a Level II Trauma Center or similar environment. - Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy. - Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA). - High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks as needed.
