We are in need of dedicated, compassionate, and experienced Behavioral Health Technicians. At Gateway Pediatric Therapy, we understand how much the little things matter. It is our mission to provide the best in class treatment based on empirically validated ABA principles and to shape behavior by celebrating those small, every day successes. Gateway Pediatric Therapy provides in-home and clinic based ABA services for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, developmental disabilities and other language delays. We are a family-centered organization that works in partnership with parents to meet their child's needs in a supportive and nurturing environment. Services are funded privately, through health insurance, or Medicaid. Behavior Technicians are trained to work with children and families affected by Autism.

  • Understanding what Autism is and how to teach kids with Autism ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) techniques
  • Curriculum development including: language, play, cognitive, social, and motor skills
  • How to reduce problem behavior
  • How to teach in the natural environment
  • Work with apps, games and web based technology
  • Experience providing one on one ABA therapy
  • Working in a supervised environment by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to help implement child's program
  • Understanding the implementation of treatment plans

All applicants must pass a background check, drug screen, and driving history check. Compensation commensurate with experience. Gateway is currently serving Metro Detroit (Oakland, Wayne, and Macomb County) and the Lansing area, with clinics located in:

  • Sterling Heights
  • Shelby Township
  • Bingham Farms
  • Dearborn
  • Lansing
  • Applicants should expect to also travel to home-based sessions*

  • Bachelor's Degree not required, but preferred

  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbal and in writing
  • Work cooperatively with other professionals and staff to facilitate positive interactions for the student and all involved in the student's education
  • From September-June, evening and Saturday availability is a must
  • From June-August, daytime availability is preferred
