Puckett’s Grocery & Restaurant is hiring a General Manager to lead one of our most high traffic locations in downtown Franklin. We are looking for someone that does not simply manage a business, but leads a team to excellence. Marshall Hospitality family of restaurants, which also includes 5 other Puckett’s Grocery & Restaurant locations, Americana Taphouse, Scout’s Pub, and Deacon’s New South. Position: General Manager
Location: 120 4th Ave South Franklin, TN
Start Date: Immediate
Status: Full-time / Exempt and at-will
Hours: Vary - Days, Evenings, Weekends
The General Manager’s role is to oversee, direct, and coordinate the planning, organization, training, and leadership necessary to achieve stated objectives in sales, costs, employee retention, guest service and satisfaction, food quality, cleanliness and sanitation, all with a servant’s heart.

This position can earn up to 12% of their annual base pay in bonus pay. Our bonus structure is tied to measurables, issued twice a year, and a restaurant can earn partial to full bonus percentages.
Two weeks paid vacation per fiscal year, available after the first 6 months of full-time employment.

Incentive Trip: If the leadership is able to meet their year’s annual set goals, they are eligible for a 5-6 incentive trip including airfare and board. We’ve been to places like Cabo San Lucas, Telluride CO, and a Caribbean Cruise! A manager must be with our company for 10 months of the year to qualify.

3 or more years in FOH leadership position, or at least one year as General Manager (or equivalent position) in the food and beverage industry
Have reliable transportation to and from work.
Must pass the federally mandated E-verify process.
Be able to work weekend and evening shifts.
Excellent time management skills - knowing when and where to be for the most impact on your team and the business
Exceptional ability to communicate with a diverse team.
Self-discipline, initiative, leadership ability and outgoing personality
Pleasant, polite manner and a neat and clean appearance.
Multi-tasking and problem-solving: Must be able to handle the pressures of simultaneously coordinating a wide range of activities and recommend appropriate solutions to restaurant problems.

Ensure that all guests feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly and courteous service at all times.
Ensure that all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to the restaurant’s recipes, portioning, cooking and serving standards.
Direct hiring, assignment, training, motivation and termination of personnel.
Achieve company objectives in sales, service, quality, appearance of facility and sanitation and cleanliness through training of employees and creating a positive, productive working environment.
Investigate and resolve complaints regarding food quality, service, or accommodations.
Review financial statements, sales or activity reports, or other performance data to measure productivity or goal achievement or to identify areas needing cost reduction or program improvement.
Monitor budgets and payroll records and review financial transactions to ensure that expenditures are authorized and budgeted.
