Old Dominion University (ODU) invites applications for an open full-time faculty position in Cytotechnology (rank commensurate with qualifications) in the School of Medical Diagnostic and Translational Sciences beginning July 25, 2019. The School is housed in the College of Health Sciences, (https://www.odu.edu/hs) and includes undergraduate programs in medical laboratory science, cytotechnology and nuclear medicine technology as well as a postgraduate certificate program in molecular diagnostics and cytotechnology. The school’s faculty also participate in PhD Programs for Graduate Biomedical Sciences, Health Services Research, Modeling and Simulation, and Biomedical Engineering. Qualified candidates will have an appropriate master’s degree and/or significant clinical and teaching experience in cytotechnology.

A terminal doctoral degree is preferred. Depending upon qualifications, the individual chosen may also serve as educational coordinator and, if so, would be expected to provide leadership for developing and maintaining off campus clinical training in that capacity.
